It was taken by my best friend when we visited our high school in 2018. 🥰
When not doing research, I like to think about why people can be weird and how people live
differently.
I love volunteering.

Hi there! 👋
I am a PhD student in Computer Science at University of Maryland, College Park, fortunately advised by Prof. Rachel Rudinger and Prof. Hal Daumé III. I earned my master degree from University of Southern California, where I worked with Prof. Nanyun Peng on natural language processing.
My research is in human-centered and socio-culturally aware AI. I am passionate about learning languages from social perspectives and exploring intersections between linguistics and social psychology.
I am interested in exploring: (1) how AI can influence interpersonal and intergroup relationships (e.g., by understanding language models), and (2) how AI can help to connect people from different social groups and communities (e.g., by building useful tools). A keyword I have been thinking about recently is intergroup prejudice.
