Hi there! 👋

I am a second-year computer science PhD student at University of Maryland, College Park, fortunately advised by Prof. Rachel Rudinger and Prof. Hal Daumé III in the Computational Linguistics and Information Processing (CLIP) Lab. I earned my master degree from University of Southern California, where I worked with Prof. Nanyun Peng on natural language processing.

My research is in human-centered and socio-culturally aware AI. I am passionate about learning languages in social context and exploring intersections between natural language and social psychology.

More specifically, I am interested in:

(1) how AI can influence people's relationships by understanding the role language models might take under intergroup or interpersonal communication;

(2) how AI can help connect people from different cultures and communities with others by developing better and more helpful tools.

I am happy to chat about research or help with things. Feel free to reach out!
